      Mrs. Leabron Elrod Burress, 72, of the Pea Patch section of Jewell Ridge, Va., died Tuesday in a Bluefleld hospital. Born in Buchanan County, Va., she was a daughter of the late William C. Elrod and Mary Cole Elrod Day. She had lived in the Buchanan County area all her life and was of the Pentecostal Holiness faith. She was preceded in death by one sister, Mrs. May Keen and one brother, Warnie Day. Survivors: husband, Henry Burress of Beckley; daughters, Mrs. Earl (Lois) Cook of Jewell Ridge, Mrs. Oliver (Jettle) Addair of Iaeger; sisters, Mrs. Beulah Brown of Whitewood, Va., Mrs. Marie Hagerman of Dickson, Tenn.; six grandchildren, one step-grandchild, four great grandchildren, two step-great grandchildren. Funeral will be 11 a.m. Friday at Hurst-Scott Funeral Home Chapel in Richlands, Va., with the Rev. Charles Rose officiating and burial at Fairvlew Cemetery at Pea Patch. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. today.
