| Notes |
Married:
- This marriage is questionable. However, The marriage date is given by Elizabeth on a Land Bounty Widow pension she tired to collect after Micajah's death. If Rachel is the the one in Pike County Kentucky, then I'm assuming her and Micajah were still married. That Rachel died in 1855. I don't know why the separated, but perhaps Elizabeth had something to do with it? Other records for the children do list their father as "Cager Burress" so the children must be his, but since in 1849 him and Elizabeth were cited for lewdness that would infer they were not married and living together. Weather they made it legal at some later date is unclear, but Micajah died before Rachel (if indeed, she is the Rachel in Kentucky), and divorces weren't that common back then.
