  	Victim of Scarlet Fever Death of Mrs. Hattie Burress Jennings Occurred Yesterday Morning. Mrs. Hattie Burress Jennings died yesterday morning after a short illness of scarlet fever. She was married on the 4th of last December at Ironton, Ohio, to A.E. Jennings, bookkeeper for the Flat Top Grocery Company and the young couple were quite popular. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Wesley Burress, of Graham, and made her home in that town until her marriage, when she came to this city and the young couple took up their residence at 407 Scott Street. The deceased was a member of the Methodist church. She will be buried in the West Graham Cemetery at 2:30 this afternoon, the funeral taking place from her late home at 1 o'clock with religious services at the grave. Mrs. Burress is the first of those who have become ill with scarlet fever to die during the recent scare. How she contacted the disease is unknown. 25 March 1910 Bluefield Daily Telegraph
