Thomas Earls

• Name	Thomas Earls
  	The only reference to Samuel's parents were on his death record and they were listed as Thomas and Betsy, but I can't find a reference to this family anywhere. Unless it was Thomas and Sally, or the death record is wrong. However my theory is that he somehow belongs to the Thomas and Judith Earls family of Pittsylvania County, VA. Thomas and Judith had sons Samuel and Joshua, which fit as family names of Samuel and Joshua in Floyd county, who I suspect were brothers. The Thomas above that married Sally, is supposedly a son of this Thomas and Judith Earls. Thomas and Judith did have a son named Thomas, I'm just not sure he is the one that married Sally. On 5 of Samuel's children's (Cynthia, James, Dudley, Mattie, Mary Ann) census records, for various years they list their father's place of birth as Pennsylvania (spelled as Penn, and not Pitt) and at other times they claim Virginia. I don't know weather they mean Pittsylvania County, but that would make sense.
