Know all men by these present that I, Richard Combs, of Tazewell County in the State of Virginia, being a house holder and head of a family do hereby set aside and claim as my homestead exemption under the laws of the State of Virginia, the following property to wit:
1 Cow worth about $20.00
1 Hog worth about $ 5.00
1 Mare worth about $30.00
All my corn crop now on the lands of Charles Young and John Harry Young, and also all fodder of said corn crop. Corn fodder worth about $50.00.
All my household and kitchen furniture worth about $10.00.

Know all men by these present that I, Richard Combs, a householder and head of a family, and resident of the County of Tazewell in the state of Virginia, do hereby declare my intention to claim and do hereby claim select and set apart as and for my homestead Exemption under the constitution of Virginia and the law in pursuance thereof the Personal property hereinafter named each parcel or article being followed by my cash valuation therefore to wit:
5 iron bedsteads, springs and mattresses for four beds, eight pillows, blankets for same.
One range stove, one dresser, one washstand, one sewing machine, two trunks, one dining table and all kitchen utensils and wearing clothes all to the value of $220, two hundred twenty dollars, given under my hand and seal this the 26 day of December 1913
