  	NORTH TAZEWELL, Va. Frances Hellen Newberry Dye, age 86 of North Tazewell, Va. went home to her Lord Tuesday, July 28, 2009 following a 30 year well fought battle with cancer. Born March 14, 1923 at Raven, Va. she was a daughter of the late Stuart and Mary Ethel Palmer Newberry. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Edward Dye; three brothers, Earl Newberry, Raymond Newberry and Arvel Newberry; one sister, Gladys Cantrell. Prior to her most recent illness, she was active in the Tazewell County Retired Senior Volunteer Program. Survivors include two daughters, Shreda Dye Jones, and husband, Harry of North Tazewell, Va. and Patsy Dye Bowman of Richmond, Va.; three grandchildren, Shaunna Jones Sefchich and husband, Stephen of North Port, Fla., Steven Randolph Bowman and wife, Janice, and Paul Rennie Bowman and wife, Judi; two great-grandchildren, Steven Alexander "Alex" Bowman and Michael Scott Austin Bowman all of Richmond, Va.; one brother, Mervin Newberry of Lynchburg, Va.; special neighbors, Frank and Lou Bowman, Bob Butcher, Earnestine Dickens, Connie McGuire, and "Mr. Sparks" (Ronnie).Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 31, 2009 at Peery and St.Clair Funeral Home Chapel in Tazewell, Va. with the Rev. Leon Yost officiating. Burial will follow at Grandview Memory Gardens in Bluefield, Va. Grandsons, great-grandsons, nephews, and neighborhood friends will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-9 p.m. Thursday, July 30, 2009.
