  	Funeral services for Mrs. Samuel F. (Florence Octavia) Thompson, 84, of Springville, who died Sunday, June 13 in a Bluefield hospital after a long illness will be conducted today at 2pm at Dudley Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bluefield VA. Rev. Ray Amos will officiate at the services. Burial will be in Earls Cemetery on Bluefield-Tazewell Road. Born in Tazewell County, she was a daughter of the late James and Mary Earls. She was a member of the Mount Zion Methodist Church. Survivors include one son, Frank Thompson of Bluewell; eleven daughters, Hester Caudill, Lucy Thompson, Lola Stevens, Nora Allisson, Margle Hays, and Lillian Hurt, all of Springville, Helen Nash of Bluefield, Aileen Thompson and Nancy Lovell, both of Bluefield, Va. Mrs. Tom (Sue) Brown of Tazewell and Jenny Puckett of Cedar Bluff; 49 grandchildren; 44 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1977, and one daughter.
