    1. Don't have date obit was in paper. Death date would have been between 1953-1960 .
      Clarence L. Earls, former resident of Cliffield, died Tuesday at his home in Bluefield, Va. He had been employed as a carpenter with the Norfolk and Western Railway until he retired four years ago. He was the son of the late Dudley and Ritta Earls. His wife preceded him in death 25 years ago. There survives two sons, Harrison and Benny Earls of Cliffield; and three daughters; Mrs. Claude Hankins of Cedar Bluff, Mrs. Ruth Smith of Marion and Mrs. Gussie Butcher of Caretta. Three brothers also survive: Thomas Earls of Cedar Bluff, Joe Earls of Cliffield and Dewey Earls in Texas; and four sisters; Mrs. Ella Saunders of Pocahontas; Mrs. Fannie Massie of Pounding Mill; Mrs. Amelia Young of Cucumber and Mrs. Mary Booth of Tip Top.
