Linda Carol McGhee Byrd, age 75, of Cedar Bluff, VA passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 19, 2018 at her home surrounded by her loving family. 
 She was born November 14, 1942 in Raven, VA and was the daughter of the late Clarence Edward ?Fuzz? and Anna Ella Palmer McGhee. She had made her home in the Tazewell and Russell County area most of her life and was of the Freewill Baptist Faith.
 
 In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Walter Byrd; sons, Charlie Walter Byrd, Jr., and Charlie ?Bubby? Byrd; sisters, Jettie Leona McGhee, Nellie Ruth McGhee, and Doris Anne McGhee Miller; brother, Clarence ?Junior? McGhee, Jr.; second mother by marriage, Audrey Perkins McGhee; and stepmother, Dorothy Cole McGhee; and several nieces and nephews that she dearly loved.

 Brother by marriage, Joseph Cole and wife, Helen of Bristol, VA
 
 Grandchildren, Brittany Fox of Christiansburg, VA; Kortnee Byrd of Richlands, VA; Justin Byrd of Richlands, VA.
 Great-granddaughter, Rory Fran Fox also survives her along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

 Special caregivers, Tina Lowe and Rebecca Cook.
 
 The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks and appreciation to Dr. Forrest Swan, Dr. Michael Bidros,
 Dr. Marcus Brown, Dr. Joseph Claustro, Dr. Sami Jawad, the nursing, oncology, and respiratory staff of C.V.M.C., Richlands Home Care, and Helping Hands Hospice.
 
 The funeral service will be conducted 4:00pm on Sunday, April 22, 2018 at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Chapel in Richlands, VA with the Rev. Grady McGlothlin and Corey Royal officiating. Interment will be at the Greenhills Memory Gardens on Monday, April 23, 2018 at 1:00 pm with the procession leaving the funeral home at 12:30pm. Precious Nephews and friends will serve as pallbearers
