      March 27, 1936 (Pounding Mill) - The following from here attended the funeral and burial of Melvin Quesenberry Sunday at Richlands, burial east of here: Mr and Mrs. C.H. Robinette, Mrs. J.T. Pruett, Mrs. George Quesenberry, Mrs. George Noel, Mr. and Mrs. James Brewster and children, Tom, Jack and Vick, G. A. Riley, Finley Ringstaff, Mr. and Mrs. George Brewster and daughter PaulineClinch Valley Newspaper Tazewell Virginia 27 March 1936 Thomas Quesenberry died at his home near Richlands last week, following an operation of several weeks ago. Funeral services were held at the Christian church Sunday afternoon. Mr. Quesenberry was one of the leading farmers of the Richlands section. Burial was at Cliffield. Richlands News Press Newspaper Tazewell Melvin Quesenberry, 52, widely known farmer of the Richlands area, died at his home south of town Friday night, March 20, 1936, of complications following an operation four weeks ago. He returned to his home this week from the hospital with scant hope held for his recovery. Mr. Quesenberry was a son of the late Fred and Cynthia (Pack) Quesenberry, pioneer residents of the Pounding Mill section. He was a lifelong member of the Christian church and active in it's work. Besides his wife he is survived by three sons, Harry, Vernon and Grat Quesenberry, and one daughter, Miss Mayola Quesenberry, all at home. Other survivors include the following brothers and sisters: Jim and George Quesenberry of Pounding Mill; Mrs. Bud Burress of Indian; Mrs. Martha Brewster, of Pounding Mill, and Mrs. E. F. Steele, of Bandy. Services will be held today at the Richlands Christian church by Rev. T.R. Doss, of Bluefield, assisted by the Rev. E. W. Hughes of Bluefield, Va. Burial was in the Harrison Cemetery on Earls Branch.
