Mrs. Myrtle Virginia Quesenberry, 69, of Pounding Mill, died suddenly at her home Saturday morning, Dec. 31, following a lengthy illness. She was born at New Hope WV, the daughter of the late Ed and Mary Ward Tate, both West Virginia natives. She spent most of her life in the Cedar Bluff and Richlands area and was a member of the Holiness Church. Survivors include her husband, Emory I. Quesenberry; two sisters, Mrs. Eula Cecil of Bluefield WV and Mrs.. Nannie Messengill of Cincinnati OH; three brothers, William Tate, Clayton Tate and Charlie Tate all of Roanoke. Funeral services were conducted Monday afternoon at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Clyde Sparks officiating. Interment followed in the Greenhills Memory Gardens at Claypool Hill. Pallbearers: Andrew Brown, Dewey Rife, Ted Roop, Jimmy Edwards, Roger Stallard and Henry Bernard.
