This deed, made and entered into, this 24th day of July, 1939, by and between J. Ed Bandy and Blanche Bandy, his wife, parties of the first part and R.H. Burress and Francis Burress, his wife, parties of the second part.
Witnesseth: that for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred dollars ($100) paid and to be paid as hereinafter set out, the parties of the first part do hereby, bargain, grant, sell and convey, with convenants of general warranty of title, unto the said R.H. Burress and Frances Burress, his wife, parties of the second part, all of those certain lots or parcels of land situate, lying and being in Baptist Valley, in Tazewell County, Virginia, together with all improvements thereon and appurtenances thereunto belonging, and designated as Lots Fifteen (15) and Sixteen (16) as shown a a map identified as "Sub-division of the Gus Payne farm situated in Baptist Valley, Tazewell County, Virginia"
which map is attached to and made a part of a deed from J.A. Payne and Ella Payne, his wife, to Kathleen Payne, dated even date herewith and to be forthwith recorded in Clerk's Office for Tazewell County, Virginia, and being a part of the same real estate conveyed to the said Gus Payne by Minervia V. Peery by deed dated June 1st, 1926, and of record in the Clerk's office of Tazewell County, Virginia in Deed Book, No. 105, Page 3, references to said last mentioned deed and map is hereby made.
The consideration for this conveyance is the sum of one hundred dollars ($100), as hereinabove stated, of which amount the sum of Thirty-Three and 33/100 dollars ($33.33) is cash in hand paid, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, and the balance of said consideration, being the sum of sixty-six and 67/100 ($66.67), is evidence by three negotiable interest bearing notes, dated April 15th, 1939, executed by the said J. Ed Bandy and payable to the order of J.A. Payne at the Farmer's Bank of Clinch Valley, Tazewell Virginia, in one (1), two (2), and three (3) years, respectively, after date, with interest from date at the rate of six per cent per annum, until paid; the first two of said notes being in the sum of Twenty-two and 22/100 dollars ($22.22) each, and the third and last of said notes being in the sum of Twenty-two and 23/100 dollars ($22.23)
These said notes are to be taken over and redeemed by the said parties of the second part. It is understood and agreed between the parties hereto that the parties of the first part do hereby expressly reserve a vendor's lien on the lots of land herein conveyed to secure the payment of the deferred purchase money notes hereinabove described.

This deed made this 15th day of February 1941 between R.H. Burriss (sic) and Frances Burriss (sic), husband and wife, parties of the first part, and Byrd P. Burress and Ella Burress, husband and wife, parties of the second part:
Witnesseth: That for one dollar cash in hand paid by the parties of the second part to the parties of the first part, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledges, and other consideration as hereinafter set forth, the said parties of the first part do hereby grand, sell and convey, with covenants of general warranty of title, unto the said Byrd P. Burress and Ella Burress all those two certain lots or parcels of land, together with all improvements thereon and appurtenances thereunto belonging, situated and being in Baptist Valley, in Tazewell County, Virginia designated and described as Lots No 15 and 16 on that certain map or plat entitled: sub-division of the Gus Farm situate in Baptist Valley, Tazewell County, Virginia: which said map or plat is attached to and recorded with a certain deed from J.P. Payne and wife to Kathleen Payne, of record in the Office of the Clerk of Circuit Court of Tazewell County, Virginia, reference to which is here made for a more complete description of the property hereby conveyed; and being the same real estate which was conveyed to the grantors herein by J. Ed Bandy and Blanche Bandy, his wife, by deed dated the 24th day of July, 1939 and recorded in the aforesaid Clerk's Office in Deed Book 145 page 306 reference to which is also made for a more complete description of the property hereby conveyed.
Reserving, however, unto the grantors, and to the survivor of said grantors, so long as either of said grantors may live, a life estate in said lots or parcels of land hereby conveyed.
It is expressly understood between the parties hereto that there is a Vendors Lien subsisting against this property to secure certain deferred installments of the purchase price owing to J.A. Payne as set forth and mentioned in the aforesaid deed from J. Ed Bandy and wife. Of the notes therein mentioned, the last two in the principal sum of $22.22 and $22.23, respectively, are unpaid and outstanding.
The parties of the second part, by their acceptance of this deed, do hereby assume the payment of the said unpaid deferred purchase money, as evidence by the notes aforesaid, witness the following signatures and seals.

Both his obit and his death certificate says Hankins Cemetery, and that is where his 2nd wife Frances is buried.
But Earls Cem, Earls Branch, Tazewell Va is where living relatives say that he was buried, and Patrica Christian (Raleigh's granddaughter) says she remembers going to the funeral when she was 14.
There is no stone at either place for him.
