    • Land Purchase: 13 April 1770, Worcester County, Maryland, USA; Buys a parcel of land made up of parts of "Wolfs Den" and "Forlorn Hope" from his brother Stephen.
    • Lease: 4 June 1771, Worcester County, Maryland; p. 250 Holloways of the Eastern Shore and Descendants Near and Far 1066-1985Witnessed; Robert Dennis, John Scarborough, Joseph Dashiell. 100 acres
    • Military: 15 July 1780, Worcester County, Maryland; Listed on the rolls for the Wicomico Battalion Pvt 4th Class William Davis Company. Also listed is his brother Middleton Adkins
    • Tax List: 1783, Acquango Hundred, Worcester County, Maryland, USA; Land listed: "Dear Harbour" (387 acres) and "Wolf's Den" (16 acres}. Evidently "Dear Harbour" was a large tract, portions of which were owned by different people.
    • Will: 14 August 1790, Worcester County, Maryland; Printed copy in records. Will probated 3 Sep 1790. Wife & son, Milby, named as executors. Wife refused to be Ex. Elijah S. Adkins exec. Widow claims her dower.

    Probably buried on his land Forlorn Hope, where there are many Adkins buried, mostly unmarked graves.

    • Land: 1745, Worcester County, Maryland; Listed on Worcester Co Debt Books as owing rent on three properties"Forlorn Hope", "Wolves Den" and "Atkins Delight"
    • Land Tax: 1745, Worcester County, Maryland; Taxed for Dear Harbour. The original grant had been for 477a but he asked for a resurvey to acquire all vacant land. This land later passed to his son Stanton to leased it to his father in law, Joseph Holloway in 1770

    Birth:
    Some say her last name is Highway, but I have no proof of that. There is a Robert Adkins who could have been Stanton's brother, who married Elizabeth Highway, who's father was Thomas Highway. Sarah could belong to that family, but no records of this.

    Sarah's will probated, she left a few minor bequeaths to daughters, her sureties were Philip and Charles Parker.

    • Deed: 4 June 1771, Worcester County, Maryland; The Holloway's did not have land close to their daughter Hannah, so they made a lease with Stanton for land closer to him, where they later moved. It was near Snow Hill & Powellville. (in notes)
    • Will: 1782, Worcester County, Maryland; Will probated on 7 July 1789 Son in law Stanton was called to verify the handwriting of Joseph.

    • Deed: 26 July 1752, St. Martin's District, Worcester County, Maryland; Gifted land to his son Thomas, a tract Teagues Content. 160 acres

    Worcester Court records records in 1755 that John Holloway (probably Jr.) sold to Robert Montgomery 12 barrels corn, colt, 9 hogs, spindle wheel. This was most likely the final closing of John Sr's estate.
