• Debt: 20 August 1654; J. Lewis (35) states he had been a servant of Mr. John Neale 15 yrs ago. Because of a debt owed by Neale to merchants in London, his cattle were taken and turned over to Col. Edmund Scarburgh, who John now works for in service of an overseerer.
• Deposition: 30 January 1655, Northampton County, Virginia, USA; States that in 1652 he had been overseer of Mr. Scarburgh's servants at Occahannock.

No documented proof that Pott is her last name. It's mostly conjecture based the right age of a Lucretia Pott who was on Shore at the right time to fit as John's wife, who was named Lucretia in multiple documents.
