  1. 1.  John West was born on 7 April 1638 in Worchester, England (son of Anthony West and Anne); died on 27 May 1703 in Nandua, Accomack County, Virginia.

    • Will: 26 May 1676, Accomack County, Virginia; He was named as uncle John West and was to be the executor of Henry Scarborough's will.
    • Fornication: 16 December 1680, Accomack County, Virginia; For Frances Chambers at Col. West's. John West agreed to pay Frances Chambers' fine for fornicationordered that he pay 500 lbs tobacco to the church wardens and court charges.

    • Leased Land: 20 September 1689, Accomack County, Virginia; John West leased unspecified acreage for 99 yrs to Frances Chambers & her children John, Jonathan, Annabella, and Fillechar. In later records it was called the Leased Lands and this was what John had left in reversion to his two sons. In notes.

    • Court: 12 Dec 1625, James City, Virginia; Henry Menefre, merchant, testified that Mrs. Rowsley did set Anthony West free and delivered his Indenture to Capt. Sampson to carry into England to his friends.
    • Notes: Feb 1628, Virginia, United States; He is mentioned in Virginia records between 28 Feb 1628 and 14 Apr 1628 as having shipped 1380 pounds of tobacco to the port at Dartmouth, England.
