William A. Christian, 67, of Pounding Mill, died Monday in a Richlands Hospital. he was the son of the late Lewis and Rinda Christian, natives of Pounding Mill. Mr. Christian had been employed by the Pounding Mill Quarry for 30 years and had been night watchman for the past 18 years. Surviving are his wife, formerly Miss Cora Brewster; three sons and five daughters, Miller and Henry Christian, of Pounding Mill; Blaine, of Cliffield; Mrs. Gladys Harris, of Steelesburg, and Misses Martha, Nancy, Marie and Carrie Christian, of Pounding Mill. Also surviving are six grand children, two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Brewster, of Pounding Mill and Miss Ada Christian, of Remington, Va. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon from the Pounding Mill Union Church, with the Rev. M.E.N Lindsay and the Rev. W. E. Mustard in charge.
