    • Pryor Sexton was a prominent man of means who owned several hundred acres of land, at least 600 hundred. The inventory of his estate shows that he owned considerable property, including one slave girl named Violet.

      He was a juror and overseer or the road. He lived on Rock Creek on lands adjoining Benjamin Sexton and John Welsh among others. And he was fined 89 cents each for swearing two profane oaths.
