- Fornication: December 1699, Scituate, Plymouth, Massachusetts; Israel and Elizabeth were married in July of 1699, and their first child was born in October, three months later. In December of 1699 they were charged with “fornication with each other while single persons”.
- Note: 1712, Scituate, Plymouth, Massachusetts; In 1812, Elizabeth’s sister Anna’s son Joseph was “brought to baptism by his uncle Israel And aunt Elizabeth Hatch”. Joseph was probably brought up by Israel & Elizabeth. Soon after Joseph’s birth, his father died and his mother remarried.
