    Mr. Emory I. Quesenberry, 69, of Pounding Mill, died in a Richlands hospital Friday afternoon, Oct. 27, following a brief illness. He was born in Tazewell County and was a son of the late George and Mary Burress Quesenberry, both Tazewell County Natives. He was a retired radio and T.V. repairman. He had made his home in the Richlands area his entire life. He had served in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of WWII. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Myrtle Tate Quesenberry December 31, 1977. Survivors include five sisters, Mrs. Robert Maxfield and Mrs. Tom Lowe, both of Tazewell; Mrs. Sylvia Lambert, Mrs. Bill Hoover and Mrs. Bill Helmandollar, all of Bluefield; five brothers, John Quesenberry of Richlands, Fred Quesenberry of Tazewell, Byrd Quesenberry of Dallas TX, Herbert Quesenberry of Cedar Bluff and Wilburn Quesenberry of Houston TX. Funeral services were conducted Sunday afternoon at the Hurst Scott Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Clyde Sparks officiating. Interment followed in Greenhills Memory Gardens at Claypool Hill. Nephews served as pallbearers.

    Emory married Myrtle Virginia Tate on 22 Jun 1932 in Pounding Mill, Tazewell County, Virginia. Myrtle (daughter of Edward Tate and Mary Ward) was born on 04 Jun 1908 in New Hope, West Virginia; died on 31 Dec 1977 in Tazewell County, Virginia; was buried in 1978 in Greenhills Memory Gardens, Claypool Hill, Tazewell County, Virginia, USA.
