    RICHLANDS -- Edith C. Pack Shortt, 69, died Monday, Nov. 15, 1999, in a Richlands hospital.

    She was born in Logan, W.Va., a daughter of the late William Mastin and Nora Burke Pack. She was an employee of Tazewell County Public Schools as a cafeteria worker at Richlands Middle School.

    Surviving are her husband of 50 years, Delmer J. Shortt; two daughters, Mrs. Joe (Wilma Jean) Osborne of Fort Myers, Fla., and Mrs. C.W. (Trish) Settle of St. Clairsville, Ohio; a sister, Joyce Goff of Richlands; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

    Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 2 p.m. in Singleton Funeral Service Chapel in Cedar Bluff. The Rev. Jerry Welch will officiate. Burial will be in Shortt Family Cemetery at Shortt Gap, Va. Mrs. Shortt was also preceded in death by a son, Andy Wayne Shortt; two brothers, Robert and John Pack; and two sisters, Sarah Taylor and Peggy Simmons.

    Pallbearers will be nephews and friends. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday in Singleton Funeral Service.
