This cemetery is in a pasture one mile off Collinstown Road, just inside the Virginia line in Patrick County.
This is where Joanna and her husband William lived. Also their son Edward and his wife Frances Lawson lived on the farm with them. Another son Jackson and his wife Susan Hundley lived close by. Also their grandson Dow and his wife Sarah lived close. The children probably belonged to Joanna's three sons Jackson, Edward, and Frank. There are several graves without any markers. Many of the stones have symbols engraved on them. Joanna was the daughter of Edward and Hannah Holt Collings, who are buried just inside of North Carolina in Stokes County very close by.
